Ok so yeah I might be converting to Islam soon, and I live in the USA, but part of being Muslim is traveling to Mecca so yeah Im just wondering, how can I go there since Im transsexual? Being transsexual is completely illegal there and Im sure they would deport me if they found out, and since I live in Tennessee my birth certificate will always say "male" on it so I think they would be able to find out.

So you've moved on from the Ramadan section to the Saudi section now......

First off, you cannot just "move" to SaudiArabia or Travel here freely.. Saudi is a closed country to immigration and tourism..

You have to be "invited" to come to Saudi, or if you are a muslim, you can apply for an Umrah or Hajj visa.

Umrah and Hajj are the religious rites a muslim makes to Mecca to pray at the grand mosque there for a specific time period...

Otherwise, someone already living in saudiArabia has to request permission for you to visit them.. or you apply for work and are approved to come for a work assignment.. or have diplomatic arrangements..

Islam will identify you as a man on how you were born.. You will be a man,, so if you somehow gain a visa to enter Saudi, and you are dressed as a girl, you will be arrested by the police and questioned, then jailed or held for a period of time then deported..

To clear things out , you changed your gender before you became a Muslim , it is illegal after you become Muslim except if it was out of necessity like some one with both organs etc so they must choose one.

In your case there is nothing illegal about it NOW as the gender change took place before you were a Muslim and you did not know any better. If the Saudi officials ask why it says male on the the certificate (quite unlikely because they only check the passport) simply explain it was BEFORE you became a Muslim. And that it was not illegal in your country. Just ensure your passport gender matches your current gender. The rest is between you and God. The only other thing you will need is a certificate you converted to Islam / are a Muslim. You can ask about obtaining one from your local mosque or religious body etc.

Who said you this "Being transsexual is completely illegal there" , its not? you can go to hajj or mecca not body can stop you just becasue you are transexual.

I know people like you who go to hajj (mecca, medina etc) , even if your id card etc have mentioned male that not was problem beacsue in many coutries id card has only two options male and female so inshahallahy you donot feel any problem.

I think it just your misconception or someone told you wront thing , so donot worry you have all the right as other have

nicely there is the hot vacationer visas yet you purely get the vacationer visa while you're coming with a preapproved team and you ought to stay with the team the whole time you could no longer do any website seeing or determining to purchase or different events by using your self so in case you have an interest in Saudi i might say that the excellent part of do may well be while you're Muslim to get an Umrah visa on the grounds which you could bypass to Mekkah, Medina and Jeddah and function your freedom to bypass around and do regardless of you wish for the main area.

Saudi Arabians, I believe, to be utterly transphobic. Is there any way to change your gender on your identity card? I'm not trying to crush your hope or anything (sorry if I did =[ ) but, if your gender restricts you from performing pilgrimage, Allah knows best. A friend of mine is a closeted Muslim and she cannot wear hijab because of certain inevitable circumstances. I believe that she is not doing anything wrong. The same with you. Allah knows best. =D

if you are ready to be judge by sharia law, go ahead. Of course you know what will happen if you do.
